Got a good deal

I just got my Shinchan tin coasters!!
So shiokz...this ebay seller shipped the item so fast and the shipping charge was only USD1.50!
I paid USD5 for supposedly 2 tin coasters. One in blue and one in pink.
Imagine my surprise when I saw 3 coasters! There was a duplicate of the blue coaster.
Not sure if the seller packed an extra one by mistake or it was really the price for 3?
I will just take it that I am lucky and got one extra by mistake. :)

Ebay Shopping Spree

I mentioned previously here that I bade for a Crayon Shinchan toy. I received the shipment today!! Yippie!!

Aside from this wind up toy, I went on to buy 2 other Crayon Shinchan items on Ebay.
One of it is this set of tin coasters:



Another was a Japan UFO Plush toys lot of 4 on Crayon Shinchan.
These plush toys are never sold in shops and are exclusive as a prize during a limited period of time in UFO Catcher games in Japan only.
Will show pics when I receive them.

I am sorely tempted to bid for the following item too.
Gonna cost me about SGD67 including shipping.
Should I or should I not?

Decisions

A decision was made today.
Or rather, I believe that decision was made some time ago.

Many times, I just refused to see that decision and persisted.
Somehow hoping with enough time, the decision made would be different.

Alas, I ran out of time.

My friend just told me over lunch today, "If you cant make yourself happy, how will you be able to make others happy?"

Simplest of words yet so true.

After so much that had transpired, bye ends it all.
Or does it? Will I be able to close my eyes and will it away like a dream?
I doubt it.
Then again, it's out of my hands now and no longer will decisions of mine make a difference.

Retail Therapy

My colleague, M asked me last Friday if anything was bothering me.
He commented that I was extremely quiet these days and looked rather listless.

Indeed I am. And I am touched that someone actually is concerned bt my state of mind and took the effort to ask me how I feel these days.

Have not been in the best of moods. Decided to go for some retail therapy yesterday.
Apple was having a promo and so I finally went to buy the IPOD that I had been eyeing for the longest time.
Only paid SGD394 (Usual: SGD 428)for it and got a free radio remote worth SGD88 for free. Utilized the SGD300 vouchers that my company gave me so effectively, I only topped up SGD94.
Sadly though, they had no stocks for the white one and I have to wait out another 2 to 3 weeks.

No new toy to play with so I went on ebay. Bidded for 3 other items on shinchan.
Shall post the pictures once I receive all my toys.

Wasn't much of a retail therapy since all that I bought are not with me yet.
*Sigh*

Insomnia & Work

Couldn't get to sleep last night. So ended up playing Bejeweled 2 on yahoo games till 2am. Needless to say, I had problems waking up this morning.

I used to have a colleague who came to the office quite late each day.
There was this one time he reached the office only at 1030am and ran into our boss at the lifts. He still maintained his cool and greeted our boss good morning with a smile.
When we heard about it, we were all shocked by his audacity.

Point is, the same thing happened to me today.
I reached the office only at 1030am and ran into my boss at the lifts.
Thought bt my colleague and I did the same. I smiled and greeted my boss good morning in a calm n cool manner.
*Tsk tsk*

Quite Funny

Overheard the following over radio this morning:

Incident One
A robber tried to rob a cab driver. Not only did the cab driver fight off the intended robbery, he turned around and robbed the robber also!

Incident Two
There was this man in a wheelchair at this secluded oil pump.
When another man tried to help him, this guy in the wheelchair whipped off his prosthetic leg and hit him over the head. Man in wheelchair then robbed this guy and escaped.
He is still at large and police have issued a statement that when he is caught, he will be charged with ARMED robbery.

Crayon Shinchan

In my undying quest for Crayon Shinchan's stuffs, I just found another interesting item of his on Ebay.
It was being sold for USD2.99 and so I bidded for it and won.
Ended having to pay USD8.75 (approximately SGD13.50) after adding shipping.
Kinda ex for a small toy but I think it's worth it.



Cannot wait to get my hands on it. I am eyeing some tin coasters of Crayon Shinchan next and will bid for it once I confirm shipping. :P

Biotherm

Been wanting to buy the Biotherm White Detox Bio-A (2) Ultra-Whitening Detoxifying Essence (geesh what a mouthful) for the longest time now.
Kept putting it off coz I wanted to wait for 20% Storewide discount from Metro.

Anyway,I couldn't put it off much longer one weekend and decided to buy it with or without discount at Metro.
They had a promo! Wooohoooo! The essence alone cost SGD118 but with the promo, I can buy the essence + toner + cleansing foam + sample makeup base for only SGD178 (Original cost would be SGD228)!

Happy like a bird, I thought that's the end of it. The promoter then told me I am entitled to a free sample pack as I spent more than SGD130. She brought out 2 different sample packs and wanted me to choose one. Cheapo that I am, I tried to persuade her to give me both to no avail. Eventually, I settled for this as the value was higher (ha cheapskate!):



Whilst I was still grinning from having bagged such a good deal, the promoter told me I am entitled also to a bag. Hhaha...so shiokz!



Biotherm made me very happy that day.

Womanly Woes

I dread being a woman.
Once a month that is.
Now is that Period (mind the pun).

Short of going into gory, bloody details, i am in pain. Headache. Cramps. Backache. The whole works.

Poor me :-(
So here i am, jolted awake so early by the pain n blogging on my woes.

Porky Pig

I never knew Indonesia reared pigs and exports pork for sale.
Most people in Indonesia are Muslims isn't it? How can they be slaughtering and handling the pigs then?
Imagine my shock when i saw the following pic at NTUC:



Why do they have to put a tiara on the pig I wonder?

Unrelated Occurances

Occurrance 1:
I had taken this one same SMRT cab a few times now.
I always have interesting conversations with the very well-spoken cab driver.
He was only retrenched from his white collar job recently and had to turn to driving a cab as not many were keen to employ people of his age these days.

My point in mentioning him is, he had given me discounts on the past 2 rides.
Ha!

Occurance 2:
I went by the clinic to collect some med earlier today.
Whilst waiting, 2 ladies walked into the clinic at about the same time.
The first lady was given Q number, 11 as her daughter had already came by earlier to register for her.
The clinic assistant went on to give Q number, 13 to the second lady.
This second eccentric woman then raised her voice stating she came into the clinic first and accused the clinic assistant of purposely giving her the unlucky number and deliberately delaying her.
The clinic assistant was trying her best to explain to her why the other lady was given the Q number 11 and how another patient had already taken Q number, 12 but eccentric woman just kept on complaining.
Apparently, eccentric woman had called earlier to ask for a number but was rejected.

Some people are just weird.
