For the longest time, I spelt "Definitely" as "DefinAtely".
No one ever corrected me until Cornball did one day.
Gosh and I always thought I will win hands down if I ever join a spelling bee contest.

Then of cause there is the pronounciation.
I always thought the word "picturesque" was pronounced as "pik-ch&-Q".
Imagine my horror when realization struck me that the word used by the Discovery Channel Travel & Living hosts was pronounced as "pik-ch&-'resk"
I am so Duh!!

Talking about idiosyncrasies, I have been using the word idiocrasy out loud!
Geesh I do believe if I ever have to write the word, I would have realized the word is spelt wrong and hence pronounced wrongly. Alas I did not realize it soon enough before I got corrected - by Cornball yet again.
