Relocation

Got official news yesterday that we are moving our office.
3 years after we were bought over by BT, they finally started the ball rolling of integrating us into the big family.
Although the new office will be a short walk away at Gateway, I shall always miss the warm embrace of the 5 towers of Suntec City.
Ok, I miss the shopping more.
And I have 3 more mths before we finally relocate.

Sick

I started coughing 2 Sundays ago.
The cough escalated into a full fledged flu attack.
Was at work on Wednesday last week and had to leave early as I was getting really whoozy.

Anyway as my regular doctor does not open his clinic on Wednesday nights, I decided to make use of my company's medical benefit and visit an AIA panel doc instead.
The bad thing was that none of these clinics are within walking distance of my home.
So imagine my frustration when the first one I went to was closed.
The second one blatantly refused to register me although they were still half an hour away from the official closing time.
I was really fuming by then....literally and physically.

Ended up at a non panel doctor eventually but I am glad.
The doctor was very attentive and explained his diagnosis to me in much details.
When fever strikes me, I cannot be prescribed any medicines due to my drug allergies.
So for the next 2 days, I was confined to my bed....just suffering from temps of 38.9 degrees and waiting to break out of the feverish daze.

Fever finally broke on Saturday and I played mahjong on Sunday.
I lost. It was really a short week.

Birthdays & Anniversaries

11 July is my mummy's birthday.
The date this year also marks the 7th year "anniversary" of my brother's fatal accident on that fateful night of 11 July 2000.
He was just 3 days shy of his 21st birthday then.
7 years on, he has made much improvements.
From the comatose state to the veggie state and to his minimal ingestion of food orally now instead of through a tube attached to the stomach, it's a vast improvement.
I can only pray that he continues to get better.
As for mummy, we no longer celebrate her birthday.
Even bringing her out for a simple dinner on her birthday will be rejected.
The reason is quite obvious.

On a lighter note, my baby niece turned 6 mths old yesterday.
She is SOOOOOO adorable. Can you see the long lashies?

Thought of Yesterday

Real love is unconditional, but that does not mean you should constantly try and test just how strong these bonds are.
If you find yourself being provocative for no good reason, take a step back and rethink your actions.

Hatred

I hate feeling.
I hate confusion.
I hate backaches.
I hate headaches.
I hate thinking.
And I still hate feeling.

Of Work & Pain

Been complaining about backache for the longest time.
I have a tendency to sit for long periods at work, staring intently at my lappie.
This hunched up position is causing me lotsa of pain between my shoulder blades down to my lower back.

The massages that I go to only provided temporary relief.
The pain got worse recently. So much so it's giving me headaches too.
Went to a doc today to get some medicine.
Since I am allergic to quite a few painkillers, it was tough trying to prescribe me med.
I was given "Arcoxia" today. Supposedly the more expensive painkiller.
The doc was actually grinning when he said, "Think you cannot eat cheap medicines".
*Duh*

Should the pain persist, I need to go for Xrays and blood test.
And I got 2 days of home rest.

Lost My Cool

Perhaps the warm weather was getting to me.
I totally lost my cool at work last Friday.
Was in a discussion with a few colleagues and one colleague, M was getting all riled up.
We were all brainstorming trying to find the best solution for a problem and M kept thinking we didn't understand his predicament.
Amidst his endless ranting, I raised my voice at him.
Not only that, I got so emotional that I teared. *Geesh*
Had to go to the washroom to cool down.
M apologized to me right after. Guess he felt guilty.
Not like I didn't feel bad for raising my voice.
Anyway, all things fine now between me and M.

Fetish

I got a fetish for shoes.
Cannot seemed to have enough.
In total, I believed I bought about 20 pairs over a period of 6 mths.
I have not worn all and some still had tags on them.

I always said, "Shoes dun discriminate me. No matter how much weight I put on, my shoe size will always remain the same."
So I love shoes and I bought another 2 pairs of heels on Thursday.
Been searching for a pair of purple heels for the longest time.
Finally found it and decided to buy a green one too as I really liked it.
